The Environment Public Authority (EPA) conducted a comprehensive inspection campaign targeting chemical storage facilities in the Al-Ardiya Industrial and Storage Area. The operation aimed to verify compliance with environmental and engineering regulations and requirements, inspect chemical storage and handling procedures—ensuring alignment with issued licenses and permits—and review safety records as well as protective and emergency measures.
The Chemical Safety Department emphasized that these inspections are part of a periodic plan to strengthen oversight of hazardous material handling, mitigate environmental and health risks, and protect workers and surrounding areas. The Authority urged facility and warehouse owners to adhere to the Environmental Protection Law and chemical safety standards, affirming that its regulatory campaigns across Kuwait’s governorates will continue.
